This comic hits way close to home. Wookie goes crazy when people come over and runs to the door and jumps all over them. Our friend called the chair by the front door his launching pad. He gets running so hard and fast that at times he has almost tipped the chair over. We are trying to get him to go to his bed when the door rings and waits for us to say that it is ok to get out. This is not always effective. We both would live a visit from the dog whisper to train us and Wookie :) Maybe then our guests wouldn't need a Zulu war shield.

Close to home

Our little Riley is the same way. He just LOVES visitors!! I've started putting him in his little kennel in the living room until he calms down. Then he can go over to them and say hello, under supervision. They are so loving, aren't they? Good luck with you training.
Our dog barks his head off when people come. It drives me nuts. But we are working with him as well.
